As we all know, NVIDIA's GTX1060 and AMD's RX480 have always been the object of consideration when purchasing graphics cards. The positioning and performance of these two graphics cards are very close. Today we will do some testing to see the performance of these two graphics cards in mainstream games.
The games we tested this time have:
Hitman
Grand Theft Auto V
Note: Both graphics cards are reference frequency, all hardware configurations except the graphics card are consistent, RX 480 is 8GB version. The test data comes from the network.
[GTA5]
[Test Method] All graphic quality settings are manually adjusted to the highest. Open 2X MSAA under 1080P, select Michael's home in the scene, and run Fraps benchmark for 60 seconds.
Result: GTX 1060 Max: 86 fps min: 63 fps
RX 480 Max: 68 fps min: 53 fps
As the result showed us, both graphic card can give us very smooth experience on GTA5, but 1060 clearly has better performance than RX480 on GTA5.
[Hitman DX12 mode]
[Test method] The graphic quality setting is the highest. Run the game with the benchmark and compare the results.
Result: GTX 1060 Max: 91 fps min: 42 fps
RX 480 Max: 103 fps min: 47 fps
Compare to previous GTA5 testing result, they ended with 1 : 1, therefore, in the case of similar performance, the optimization of game manufacturers has become the key to performance.
